A claer cock-up by #QuackCWaC council

This cock-up comes less than a year after they painted zig zag lines in front of a school that was demolished in 2009. Read my earlier blog post about that here.

A picture is worth a thousand words :-)
Unlike many Cheshire West and Chester Council cock-ups this one, as with the earlier one, even managed to get the national press interested.

#QuackCWaC Council in Private Eye again!

Cheshire West and Chester Council win a Private Eye (Rotten Borough) award
Crime Fighter of the Year

For background information read my earlier post - Bus shelters: Now you see them, now you don't.

Private Eye issue No 1357 (10th January 2014 - 23rd January 2014)

Footnote: Speaking on the Chester bus station difficulties, with CWaC chiefs at an audit and governance meeting last month admitting they had failed to deliver the scheme adequately. Cllr Jones expressed his belief the council “were doing a good job in challenging circumstances”.  “We are in an organisation if we make a mistake, we put our hands up and we fix it,” said Cllr Jones.

However, he fails to mention that they tried to persuade Private Eye that the article they published last year was wrong and only put their hands up months later.
